Yesterday was what’s commonly known as “a shitshow” so all I have for you today is a picture of the current state of my Channel Cardigan. But it’s pretty great, right? The photo on Monday’s post was taken back in August when I knitted the first sleeve; the second one and that bit of waist ribbing have been knitted over the past week and a half. What a difference 4.75/in makes! This is truly one of the most pleasant knitting experiences I’ve had so far. The stitch pattern, the yarn … the whole thing just hums. It’s days like these make me that much more grateful that I have knitting waiting for me at the end of them — especially when it’s this.

It is looking gorgeous already, can’t wait to see you tackle the back or front next.
Stunning!
This is looking really nice.
Nice stitch definition, certainly knitting I would like to come home to.
Absolutely love the color of this yarn. The pattern fits it perfectly.
I think that’s what I love about knitting too, it is the calm when I feel like I’m trapped in the middle of a hurricane. Hopefully today is a better day!
Oh Karen, this is just beautiful, and I’ve been having a similar week! Definitely in the mood to just hide from the world with my knitting; unfortunately I’ve got to hand on another week before I can do so! Looking forward to seeing more of your cardi as it progresses.
Sending good thoughts your way so that you can get past yesterday. The knitting is lively btw
Wow! It’s really coming to life now!!!
Absolutely gorgeous. The color, the pattern and the yarn are incredible!
I can just see this slouchy jacket on you! It will be totally FAB Karen!
This is truly lovely knitting and lovely pattern.
It’s beautiful, and yes, I feel a bit like a deer in the headlights as the end of year comes to a close. It’s been a big, unwieldy year and I think the whole thing has just caught up with me.
I love that pattern, looks great! I’m scared that it is a 5 out of 5 difficulty, which I’m guessing is due to the collar? I’m wondering how hard it would be to do a mash up of the channel cardigan with your improv cardigan, if I could get the moss stitch and chevron column to line up at the neckline it seems totally doable, right??? Ideas!
You amaze me w what you accomplish each day.
Knitting is wonderful like that. It has gotten me through the hardest times, including the loss of a friend nearly a month ago. I hope this beautiful cardigan is bringing you some much needed peace.
