We try to be better by crafting what we wear instead of buying. But does the fabric/yarn come from responsible sources?
Some does and some we don’t know — it’s all about paying attention to where things come from.
oh my. the power of a picture. I hadn’t heard about this movie but will do my best to now make sure everyone I know does! be well.
Wandering happily through these links with my morning coffee and I can’t wait to get to the studio and make something! On another note, reading “Overdressed: The Shockingly High Cost of Cheap Fashion” by Elizabeth L. Cline, was tough enough. Actually seeing the people who make our clothes/stuff in “Trust Cost” will be a two by four up the side of the head. Circle around to Gridjunky and his handmade denim bag – so fine! Whew!
The film looks fascinating— and probably heart wrenching. I will make sure this is one I get to watch, and pass it on to others, as well. Hopefully we can make a small difference by crafting responsibly. :)
I still need to pick up a copy of Andrew Brooks’ “Clothing Poverty,” and can’t wait to check out “The True Cost.” Thanks for the mention today, K.
