Maybe you thought I was joking. Or maybe you’ve understood that my ’70s fiber fixation is more than just a crush. But honestly, if you’re gonna make a funky, pinkish-tan, garter-stitch shawl that’s too granny for grandma, it’s gonna need some fringe. Some very serious fringe.
This amuses me greatly, but I may need to make another one in an unmistakably sophisticated yarn — a nice dark tweed or something. Then it can be haute.
.
It looks chic with the fringe!
I think so too! Chic and warm and amusing. What more could a girl want?
Haven’t you heard? Fringe is totally hip again … and you will be chic-er than Chic when you wear this fabulous new shawl!
Annoyingly, we’re having abnormally warm weather these days. But I won’t let that stop me.
I love fringe. Always have always will. Haters gonna hate!
Amen.
I want shoes with some fringe! Your shawl looks great, Karen!
Ha! I was just replying to your comment on the A.L.C. resort pics, saying you needed to go check out the shoes!
I do have fringed shoes, I confess. Elizabeth & James from a couple of years ago. Oh!, plus some grey suede moccasin booties, with the requisite fringe! It never occurred to me I own multiple pairs of fringed shoes. Maybe because neither of them gets worn much. Hmm.
Break them out, girl! You are on the cutting edge.
