I don’t know about you, but I’m in the mood for a quick knitting hit right about now. I’ve been really craving a big ribbed hat with a wide fold-up brim, and am fairly obsessed with that red skullcap I just made for Bob. So can we talk about this excellent crimson ribbed number on Bette Franke? All we need to knit it for ourselves is my own free pattern, the Stadium Hat, adding a couple of inches to the length for the fold up brim. And for the yarn, I’m thinking O-Wool Classic Worsted in Sumac. As they say: Done and done.
See Vanessa’s post for additional shots of the lovely Bette and Sigrid.

Love it!!
I’ve been into red this year and it has only intensified with the coming of winter. The many shades of red – its amazing! And not the easiest color to find, mulling over beautiful yarns as I love to do. But that said, there WILL be red hats and moebious scarves in the gallery and for holiday gifts this year for those people who look good in RED!
That pop of color really pulls the whole look in.
oh very nice!
I definitely feel that urge sometimes…you just want to feel productive!
I’m going the opposite direction, actually – I usually make chunky hats for the shop and I want to start knitting smaller-yarn-ed casual beanies (like the Emily Weiss one you posted) this fall. Hopefully those won’t take TOO long either! :)
Can I just add…love their boots!
